CAMPS

 

Poway Elite and Poway Wrestling offer several camps throughout the summer and year. The Poway State Champ Camp has now been in existence for 15 years and has become the longest running camp in the San Diego area! Last summer the State Champ Camp hosted wrestlers from 7 different states including Pennsylvania, Alaska, Arizona, and Oklahoma. The camp clinicians included 3 college coaches, 2 NCAA Division I Champions and 3 NCAA Division I All Americans. 2018 State Champ Camp will run July 23-July 27.

The Poway 4 Week Summer Camp is exclusive to Poway Elite and Poway High School wrestlers. This camp is run by Poway High School head coach Wayne Branstetter and the entire staff of Poway youth and high school wrestling. The camp combines technique sessions 3 days a week along with live matches once a week with outside schools/clubs. 2018 4 week camp will run June 18-July 12.

Poway hosts a Freestyle/Greco Intensive in April to gear up for the upcoming international season. This year's camp featured a Greco World Team member and a current state freestyle head coach from the east coast. This camp is exclusive to Poway Elite wrestlers. This intensive will run April 9-13.
